Some custom requests hit differently.
— Some days I create shirts for celebrations. Some days I create shirts that make people stop and think. This was one of those shirts.

When I was asked to create a simple tee that reads Legalize Being Black I immediately understood the message behind it. What should sound like an absurd statement somehow continues to feel painfully relevant.
My heart has been heavy following the verdict in the case of Cyrus Carmack-Belton. As a mother and a Black woman, it’s difficult to process stories that remind us how fragile justice can be—and how simply existing while Black can still be met with suspicion, fear, or worse.
It’s a heartbreaking reality that makes messages like this feel less like a slogan and more like a plea.

As a designer, I know a t-shirt won’t solve these issues. But I also know that clothing has always been a way to express truth, spark conversation, and stand in solidarity. I’m honored whenever someone trusts me to bring their vision to life, especially when that vision carries a message far bigger than fashion.
