Hello and welcome to Calihoo! My name is Jill Moore and I'm Calihoo's founder. I'm just a Midwestern gal who loves her home but who also happens to LOVE the costal communities in California. The first time my toes hit that California sand and I took in the Pacific surf with all my senses, my heart sang "CALIHOO!" A love affair was born.
I travel to the coast with my husband and three children as often as possible. While vacations are priceless, I believe we can all make our own "Calihoo Moments" in our routine daily lives as well. With Calihoo, I've curated beautiful, quality pieces from talented artisans. Each piece brings that "Calihoo" feeling to my heart and I hope they will speak to you as well. Whether you're a fan of the Pacific Coast, or you're more a New Englander (that's a fabulous coast too!) or anywhere in between (the corn fields on my Grandparent's farm also ignite that Calihoo emotion within me.) I hope you'll find pieces here to cherish and spark that feeling of joy within yourself even on your Monday-ist of Mondays.

Mashallah:
Designed by Mashallah Ghouleh and handcrafted by our team in Chicago, IL, each piece of MASHALLAH jewelry is informed by the geometric, metaphysical, and inherently spiritual characteristics of gemstones. These gemstones are woven together with recycled semi-precious metals that are derived from electronic waste taken out of landfills. This eco-friendly and socially conscious process allows us to design and create beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings without doing harm to the planet. We see jewelry as a wearable artistic medium intended to add depth and character to the canvas that is the human body. It is more than jewelry - MASHALLAH is a lifestyle.
Wildwood Oyster Co:
Wildwood Oyster Co. founder and designer, Becky Mckinnell, is inspired by Summer, Sea and Salt air. “I want everyone who loves the ocean as much as I do to have fashionable accessories that they can wear on their daily adventures, even when they can’t be on the water,” says Becky. We couldn’t agree more! The dock line for her handbags is sources from remnants and is manufactured in New England.

La Soucique Studio Metalsmithing:
My passion is in traditional hand-forging techniques and the use of found and recycled objects like seaglass with recycled and sustainable metals. Working in the smallest environmental footprint possible is paramount to me and I think that these materials demonstrate the true spirit of Sustainability! Each piece is fabricated in my coastal Florida, zero-waste studio and I emphasize that I use only beach or seaglass that has been naturally tumbled by the environment in which it was found, keeping the raw, organic shapes of our seaglass or ethical stones as unprocessed as possible.
