Happy hump day, everyone. Although, I’ve thought it was Thursday the entire day for some reason… I spent my day with this Martin 000C-16RGTE that was purchased at Circle Music Center. It needed an electronics repair and a setup. Also did a bone nut and setup this vintage Ibanez “lawsuit era” Les Paul.

A couple more for the Sleep Theory guys before the hit the road. A PRS SE 277 getting some fretwork and a setup, and an Ernie Ball Stingray 5-string getting a new set of tuners and a setup. I was also able to get this great sounding Gibson J-35 done. Setup in E flat and an electronics check.

First day back at the shop from my time off, and man, it was intense. Lots of work, and lots of customers, but it was great to see all of you guys. I wish I had more time to commit to hanging out, but these guitars aren’t gonna fix themselves! I have a really busy week ahead, and it started with these four instruments. First up, a few for my friends in Sleep Theory. Getting these tour ready with some maintenance setups. Started with a PRS Mark Holcomb SE, a PRS Custom 22, and an Ernie Ball Stingray. I’ve got a few more to do for these guys tomorrow, so tune in to see those. I also managed to get a Taylor Academy 12E-N on the bench for a simple electronics repair. Have a great week, everybody.

Last two before vacation time. A beautiful Fender ‘54 American Vintage II P Bass that was purchased right here at Circle Music Center getting a setup with D'Addario Chromes, and a Taylor 810E getting a strap button repair.

🏖️ My time off officially starts now, so I’ll see everyone next week. Feel free to send me a message if you need anything, and we can talk about getting your gear in line after my short break. Have a very blessed rest of your week, everybody.

Monday is here again, friends. I’ve got a short week ahead, though, so I guess that will be my “Monday Motivation”. Getting my week started with this Washburn WCG55CE-0 that’s getting a level and recrown, a setup with medium gauge D'Addario XS strings, and a finish repair on the headstock. The action on this one is sky high (almost 6/32” at the 12th fret), so it’s gonna need a lot of love.

Spending some time with this PRS SE Silver Sky, today. Setup in standard with D'Addario NYXL 9-46s.

🚨 CLOSED FROM 8/12-8/16 🚨

Hey, friends. I am going to take a little time off next week. I’ve been working hard as heck, 7 days a week, for as long as I can remember. I’ve only taken time off for medical procedures, and there’s nothing relaxing about those, trust me. I can’t afford to go anywhere on a vacation, but I’m going to just try to get some rest, and definitely get back in my studio to finish recording the next Future Ghosts track (give us a follow on here or Instagram, if you’d like to hear what we’re up to).

I do have my ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday, so please keep me in your prayers for no additional cancer findings. One is more than I can handle right now as it is.

Thank you for understanding. Everyone needs a little break every now and then, and it’s time for me to get one, myself. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at the shop on the 17th!

Overhauling this Fender Strat today for the guys in Big Wheel. Swapping out the Lace Sensors with an extra beefy setup of two DiMarzio Area 58s and a full sized Super Distortion, all in matching white. Of course, replacing the pickguard with an HSS one, I just forgot to put it in the photo (🤦🏻‍♂️). I’m also going to figure out why this guitar has nothing but a volume control. Both tone controls are dead. Setup will be in Eb with D'Addario 10-46s. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend, so far.
