Hey, purse friends! It has been a minute since I’ve posted anything.
I am gonna share my heart here, so if you aren’t interested in drama, just scroll on.
I have been going through a very difficult time. I have known for a few years there was something wrong with me, but couldn’t figure it out.
I had a heart attack last year, which caused me to stop, make some lifestyle changes and start really looking at the problem with my body.
The doctor gave me no answers. Just shrugs, and telling me I am perfectly healthy. Perfect cholesterol, weight, heart looks great now, blood pressure great. Everything is great. The NP told me I am the healthiest patient that she has. Well that is terrific, but I am in constant torturous pain. She would just shrug her shoulders at me and send me on my way. For a year and a half my autoimmune test would come back positive. But zero help.
I retired early, as I was unable to do much of anything on a schedule. PLG, and making flair for you girls has been my lifeline.
We moved five years ago to a very remote location. We are on a gorgeous lake with lots of acreage, trees, and nature. Far away from friends and kids. I have learned to enjoy the peace and quiet. But have found myself pretty lonely, and in the center of constant chronic pain.
This spring everything started to peak. I found myself having a hard time functioning. Such brain fog that I thought maybe I was getting dementia. The pain and fear constantly made me feel like I was dying.
To land the plane, I finally got a diagnosis in June that I have fibromyalgia. It is a nervous system disorder triggered for me by stress, chemicals, driving, walking, basically most things. I started on my first medication, and it did not help. It made things worse. I committed to the doctor that I would stay on it for three months. A little over a month ago I started on a second medication. I got a little taste of feeling normal once in a while. I could at least get out of bed, lift my arms, and walk without crying. But it sent me into a pretty deep depression. Seven days ago, I started on an antidepressant. My spirits are starting to lift, and I am seeing colors and feeling joy again.
I am on day two of being in the studio. I can’t do a lot, but I can do a little, then rest, a little, then rest…A little normalcy feels like heaven.
You will be seeing a little more of me.
I won’t be able to do the kind of drops that I did a few months ago. I would absolutely wear myself out and make everything in a day or two and then be stuck in bed for 4 to 5 days. I can’t do that to myself anymore.
I do want to stress again, that being creative and making things for you all literally has met the world to me.
And to the few ladies who have reached out and checked in on me. I appreciate you so much so much more than you know! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
New designs pictured that I’m going to work on for my next drop. ❤️❤️❤️
Reach out if there is something you would like me to work on. I definitely will try. You may have told me in the past, but I was in such a fog.
