✨Event-Specific Inventory Results ✨

One of my favorite things about preparing for a market is creating pieces that fit the theme of the event and then seeing what customers connect with most. This time, the event-specific inventory did really well!

🐑 Sheep: 11 sold / 14 made (including an emergency restock Saturday night!) (pattern by Whimsical Knots)
🦙 Llamas: 4 sold / 5 made
🦨 Skunks: 6 sold / 6 made (sold out!) (pattern by Tonja ~ Lolly May Crochet)
🐿️ Chipmunks: 5 sold / 5 made (sold out!) (pattern by Tonja ~ Lolly May Crochet)
🐿️ Squirrels: 2 sold / 5 made (pattern by Tonja ~ Lolly May Crochet)
🐪 Camel: 0 sold / 1 made (pattern by Kyra)

I absolutely love when themed inventory finds its audience. The three sheep that came home with me will fit perfectly into future mystery boxes, so they'll get another chance to find homes soon.

The lone llama is a different story. It won't fit in a mystery box, so it'll probably end up living on a random shelf in my craft room. I don't see llamas becoming a regular part of my inventory, but it was fun to try something different!

As for Cora the Camel... she's apparently decided to stay with me for a while. 😂 She may need a little harness and a permanent spot in the studio while she waits for her person to come along.

The biggest surprise was how quickly the skunks and chipmunks disappeared! Both designs required embroidery, which is not my favorite part of the process. I'm still deciding whether I'll make more of them in the future. If I do, they may get a small price increase to account for the extra work.

Sometimes the best market research is simply seeing what sells. ❤️

✨ Market Recap: The Power of a Last-Minute Restock! ✨

After an incredible Day 1, I spent Saturday night with a crochet hook in hand making a quick restock for Day 2. 🧶💪

I made:
🐀 2 gray rats
🐀 2 white rats
🐑 2 white sheep with black faces
🐑 2 white sheep with tan faces

And the results? Sunday proved that extra inventory was absolutely the right call!

🎉 Both gray rats sold
🎉 All four sheep sold (pattern by Whimsical Knots)

That means 6 out of the 8 items I made Saturday night found new homes on Sunday!

One of the hardest parts of preparing for markets is deciding when it's worth putting in those extra hours, but this time the customers made it clear that the late-night crochet session was a great investment. Seeing freshly made items leave the booth the very next day is always so rewarding!

Now it's time to see what needs restocking before the next event. What would you have grabbed first—the rats or the sheep? 🐀🐑💕

What an incredible weekend at the Flagstaff Wool & Fiber Festival! 🧶🐑

This was an event I had been looking forward to for months. I've attended as a customer in previous years, so being there as a vendor this year was extra special. And wow—you all showed up in a big way!

Over the two-day festival, I sold more than 200 handmade items, completely smashing my previous sales records! 🎉

I spent months preparing for this event, and seeing so many of my plushies find new homes made every late-night crochet session worth it. From fiber animal lovers to Halloween fans, it was amazing to see such a variety of plushies adopted throughout the weekend. ❤️

🐑🧶 Day 2 of the Flagstaff Wool & Fiber Festival is here! 🧶🐑

What an incredible first day! I sold over 100 handmade items yesterday and even had to do a little restocking this morning to keep up with all the adoptions and new homes being found for my crochet critters. ❤️

If you missed out yesterday, there's still time! Come explore all things fiber at Fort Tuthill County Park today from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. You'll find amazing vendors, fiber animals, demonstrations, delicious food, and of course, plenty of handmade crochet creations looking for their forever homes.
