Manitou Springs is just 90 Minutes south of Denver and worth the drive if you're in the area. Here are a few overlooked places to visit!

Cliff Dwellings - Puebloan ruins that date back to 1000 years old

Manitou Incline - gains nearly 2,000 feet of elevation over less than 1 mile. The 2,768 steps will take you to a beautiful view point on Pikes Peak

Cave of the winds - be sure to book ahead of time, 60 or 90 Minute tour. There is also a Zipline course and rock climbing on site

Rainbow Falls - located just under a bridge built in 1934. There is no swimming though.

The Miramont Castle was originally built in 1895 by Father Jean Baptist Francolon, a French Catholic priest. The priest and his widowed mother lived in the castle alone until the Sisters of Mercy came along in 1904. After that, it was used as a sanitarium, primarily for the treatment of tuberculosis.
