We are sorry to announce that Caldera has closed. Running the business over the last two years was a joy, and it was one that brought us closer to many of our family and friends who poured in their support.
In the end, we reached a simple decision. With both of us working full time, traveling extensively, and running another small business outside of Caldera, we were not putting enough time into Caldera for it to feel positive anymore. We needed to get our own commercial kitchen space and go all-in, or get out.
We view this experience as a tremendous success - we saw our bottles on the shelves of Vons, Berkeley Bowl, and other major retailers, we won national awards and acclaim, and we had a whole lot of fun along the way. Time is our most valuable asset though, and there simply was not enough of it in the day to keep Caldera running at the standard that we desired.
