If anyone is interested we have one copy of "An Eagle For the Sky" c. 1970 Iowa State University Press by the late Fran Hammerstrom. A former Boston debutante who tried her hand at modeling she went on to become a student of Aldo Leopold, a famed international ornithologist, and wildlife expert. Locally, she lived in a rather "rustic" old house on the central sands near Plainfield and was well known by UWSP and UW Madison wildlife students. Come on in and ask. Hardcover, VG to excellent condition.

Of course we retail items other than books! Experience has taught us that "expert" suggestions don't always fit the local market. Therefore we don't get too excited about having glam "adds" which frankly we don't have either the space or customer base to support.
What we do offer is personal customer service. That means we will try our damnedest to find a special book for a customer, special order titles and yes, even refer a customer to a competitor if that results in the customer gratefully returning to us the next time. Owner and operator L'AURA Di Salvo has 50 years of retail experience with over 25 years as a bookseller. Yep, absolutely true. Come on in and check out what we offer.
