Vermiculture time...AKA worm feeding. 😄
Checking 2 bins this morning. Even though the both of them are side by side they are processing at different speeds. That could be due to water, food, or temperature. So the bin that we are putting the blue worm cage is ready to process. So we put the food in there and the worms will all gather in there and it'll be easier to process the compost. The other bin you can see is still a little gritty and we are just going to willy-nilly feed them another round.
See the poor baby caught in the cardboard. He started eating his blanket🤦‍♀️
We will check them again in about a week and possibly process the compost of the first bin. Same worm time, same worm channel. 🪱

Purposefully creating the workspace. Got the desk wall up. More honeycomb grids for accessories. Two new mini-split units for temperature control. A corner dedicated to wood and materials. The tool wall with custom 3D printed holders for drills, batteries, bits, tape measures....all the things. Courtesy Luke Greenlee.
And the live edge slab, ready for legs for a new desk. It is a process, but I am proud of the journey.

Slowly but surely, Glad Moon Studios is coming to life. We are still taking custom orders, creating all the things. Woodworking, 3D print jobs, custom engraving.
Soon we will have DIY workshops and Vermiculture tutorials!

Let me tell you what 'Glad Moon' means to me.
Glad is short for Gladiola. The Gladiola is my favorite flower, and a favorite of my Granny. I grew up in Northern Illinois, south of Chicago. Every year there was a gladiola festival that highlighted all the Gladiola Farms. I remember it being the most beautiful thing, so many colors and frills. I wanted that flower to be my signature, and gladiola is too hard to keep spelling for a name...short to Glad.

And 'Moon'....I adore the the moon. I think we forget what the moon does. It is fabulous at keeping our calendar. Controlling the tides, being a light in the darkness. I talk to the moon, she holds my secrets.
