Well Hello!! As I focus most of my efforts on preparing for the Madison Gem and Mineral show. These deals are for anyone who can pick it up in person at the show!!

Feldspar is the most common mineral on earth. The term breccia can be used to describe rocks formed on earth as well.

Breccias can only come from a cataclysmic event. One that creates forces many times larger than any bomb humans can dream up. Either that of tectonic, volcanic or other forces are required.

In this case a large asteroid floating through space collided in an instant with Earth’s Moon. Spraying bits of newly formed rock out away from the moon’s gravity.

Eventually some of those rocks land on earth as meteorites. Scientists can assume this event happened recently in the solar system’s past. Keep in mind 100 million years is recent, depending on who you ask.

So the only rule for this give away is you must pick it up in person at the Madison Gem and Mineral Club Show!! See you all soon!!

Happy Day of the Dead and Happy Birthday Carolyn Kartz!! Hope everyone is having a good one! I’m excited for drop number 2nd! 😜 This is a hell of a buy if I do say so myself… but maybe I’m bias. 😏

If you know me you know this page will play favorites. One of my favorites are the rocks that came from outer space. What lies beyond our atmosphere has always occupied space in my head. This one is a dusy…

There is two ways humans can come into possession of rock from the moon. Most know one. Fewer people know the other.

Back in the 1980s humans realized some of the meteorites discovered in Antarctica didn’t look like the others. After a little digging they uncovered it contained rock that had originated on Earth’s Moon.
Thus setting into motion what became known as the “Saharan Gold Rush”. The invention of the North West Africa numbering system at the turn or the New Millennium or NWA for short was born. So no I did not break into NASA for this offering… For sale is! 🥁roll!! A slice of the moon! Believe it or not!!!
