Celebrating 70 Years of Tradition, Timber & Togetherness – October 25, 2025
This October, the heart of Perry, Florida will once again come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of one of Florida’s longest-running celebrations — the Florida Forest Festival! Now marking its 70th anniversary, this beloved event is coming back stronger than ever with all the classic traditions locals and visitors cherish.
From its humble beginnings honoring the hardworking men and women of the forestry industry, the Florida Forest Festival has grown into a massive homecoming for our entire community — a time when generations reunite, visitors return, and memories are made all over again beneath the tall pines.
Festival day, Saturday, October 25, promises all your favorite events:
🐟 The World’s Largest Free Fish Fry, serving thousands of plates of crispy fried catfish and hush puppies — a Perry tradition that has stood the test of time.
🎡 The King Tree Parade, filling downtown with floats, marching bands, log trucks, beauty queens, and the magic of small-town pride.
🪓 Lumberjack Shows & Competitions — thrilling demonstrations of skill, strength, and heritage that pay tribute to our forestry roots.
🎶 Live Entertainment all day long, featuring local and regional acts that keep the crowd singing and dancing.
🛍️ Hundreds of Craft Vendors & Food Trucks, offering everything from handmade art to festival favorites.
🎠 Carnival Rides, Kids’ Activities, and More, making it the perfect family weekend.
