Hey, ruckers. Just a reminder that www.ScoutRucking.com will no longer be available after Sept. 4. All patches are reduced to $4 each until then if you want to grab a few while you still can.

I've received many supportive messages and comments from you guys since deciding to close the online store. Thank you all for following along and rucking with me the last year a half.

Hey, ruckers. After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to shut down Scout Rucking.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed designing these fun patch challenges for the last year and a half and watching many of you complete them. But this just hasn’t picked up enough to justify the time and expense it takes to keep it going.

All patches will be reduced to a price of $4 each through Sept. 4. After that, www.ScoutRucking.com will no longer be available.

And if you don’t already, I’d encourage you to support my colleagues/competitors in the patch challenge space: Patches with a Purpose, Rucks On Parade, and Monthly Rucking Challenges.

Today is National ! 🌙 It is observed on July 20 every year to commemorate the anniversary of the United States' first crewed mission to the moon, and the landing of astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on July 20, 1969.

The "𝔸𝕡𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕠: 𝕄𝕠𝕠𝕟 ℝ𝕦𝕔𝕜" challenge pays homage to the Apollo 11 moon landing—ruck four miles at night by moonlight. Experienced ruckers are encouraged to carry at least 47.5 pounds, the weight in lunar material that Armstrong and Aldrin collected on the moon's surface and brought back to Earth.

How about pepperoni and green chiles with your pizza ruck?! 🍕 “Will Ruck for Pizza” is a fun, food-themed rucking patch challenge— ruck at least four miles carrying your usual rucking weight and end your ruck with pizza.

Where you go for pizza is up to you. Ruck to a local pizzeria, or arrange to have pizza delivered to your destination and enjoy it anywhere.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇺🇸 I rucked through the Firecracker Run 10K (6.22 miles) this morning carrying 30 pounds—again re-completing the challenge. The challenge is to sign up for a local 10K race, and ruck it instead of rucking.

I just completed the “Will Ruck for Tacos” challenge for the first time! 🌮 Four miles with your usual rucking weight, and finish with tacos after.

I didn’t want to go for speed, so I weighed myself down with 65 pounds. Rucked two laps around downtown, and ended at Two Docs for beers and street tacos from the Taqueria La Patrona food truck.
