At The Social Type, we believe silence in the face of injustice is complicity. We will be closed Friday, January 30th to participate in the Nationwide General Strike in protest of the outrageous growing abuse of power by the U.S. government and the systemic lawlessness of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

We do this in solidarity with those being targeted, detained, and dehumanized, and in protest of a system that treats human beings as disposable based on race, nationality, or perceived “foreignness”.  We do this because our business exists in a community, and our community includes immigrants, Indigenous people, and people of color whose lives and rights are not negotiable. Without our community, we are nothing. 

We hope that our neighbors and friends will consider joining the strike on Friday. Sending love and light to those that need it most. 💌
