Jade Van Nguyen of MIDDAIA creates jewelry reminiscent of the past, often referencing medieval inspiration - recalibrated for the modern girl. The Lace Perfume Pendant holds a small vial that can be worn on your body as a scent while rings are created to hold incense after they are lit.

BTS of our shoot with Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen.

Whalen’s pieces are sourced from deadstock or upcylced materials, repurposed into modern silhouettes that take note from the past. We met Whalen in her L.E.S. based studio last September to view the collection and we were truly amazed to find how every detail was considered, poured over, re-configured, sourced (obsessively) precisely - referencing specific mechanisms of the past to bring to the future. Assembled and dyed mostly in-studio / NYC for her customer that purchases her pieces carefully for their own wardrobe archive.

Maimoun’s next TRUNK SHOW is with MIDDAIA

May 22 + 23. With opening reception May 22nd 6-8pm.

Jade Nguyen Van of Middaia will be showcasing her new collection with rare one-offs purposefully made for this event. Notable is the Lace Perfume Pendant shown above. Middaia is a Jewlery studio based in Paris, inspired by old relics and medieval influences. Their pieces have become highly sought after and tracked down by clients with such vigor we are holding stock for an online release to ease the demand 🪽
