In hospitals worldwide, many patients face significant challenges due to acute changes in their health. These changes can profoundly impact their ability to eat, chew, and swallow, leading to nutritional deficiencies that can hinder recovery.

Our 2026 campaign, “Stop the Drop,” aims to raise awareness and provide solutions for these critical issues, ensuring that all patients receive the nutrition they need to heal and thrive.

The Birth of “Stop the Drop”
The inspiration for “Stop the Drop” emerged from a deeply personal experience. I witnessed my mother in the hospital, where food trays were routinely delivered to her bedside, only to remain untouched. They piled up on the cabinet, a silent testament to her struggle. Unable to eat due to her condition, the trays symbolized more than just wasted meals—they highlighted a critical gap in patient care and nutrition.
This experience made me acutely aware of the challenges faced by many patients like my mother who, due to various health issues, are unable to consume the nutrition provided to them. It was a poignant reminder of the necessity for a better system—one that not only delivers food but ensures it is accessible and suitable for every patient’s unique needs.

“Stop the Drop” is committed to ensuring that every patient in a hospital setting receives the nutritional support they need. By raising awareness and implementing effective strategies, we aim to improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for patients experiencing acute health changes.
