Not everything in design is immediately visible.

This vintage dresser-turned-vanity already had so much character. But opening the drawers is where it truly comes to life.

I lined each one in Cressida by , and it completely transforms the experience of the piece.

It’s layered, a little unexpected, and feels right at home within the William Morris spirit of the room.

Grateful to Painted Paper for their generosity in contributing something that brings beauty to even the quietest moments of this space.

Because not everything in design is immediately visible, and sometimes, it’s what’s inside that makes a piece unforgettable.

There’s always that moment in a room when everything clicks.

I hadn’t planned on adding a rug. I'd wanted to let the tile from Arizona Tile speak for itself. But when this Turkish Oushak went in, the space shifted in the best way. It grounded the room and brought everything together in a way I hadn’t expected.

Grateful to for lending such a beautiful piece and for trusting me with it. It truly is the finishing touch.

Keeping the full reveal under wraps until opens (April 10–May 17), but I couldn’t resist sharing this sweet vignette.

The photo is my sister, around age 4 or 5—captured by our beautiful mom, Cinnamon Landman.

Moments like this are what make a space feel personal… layered… lived in.

I love being able to bring a piece of my family into this very special project.

The design details many people overlook are often the ones I obsess over.

Unwrapping one of the MANY gorgeous architectural elements from .

The craftsmanship is incredible. And the pieces are timeless and so thoughtfully made.

Corston generously supplied so many of the finishing touches in this space, and I can’t wait to share more of them soon.

The right fabricator makes all the difference—and this team delivers every time.

StoneArt Marble & Granite pulled up this morning to start installing the marble for my shower at .
I only needed a small amount for the shower niche, bench and pony wall. But finding a marble that worked seamlessly with the tile took weeks of searching.

On a whim, I took a look at the remnants StoneArt had, and just like that, the perfect marble had been there all along, waiting to be discovered!

The winds were no joke at last night. A few windows didn’t survive the storm.

Thankfully the Showcase House team is amazing — a glass crew is already on the way and everyone is jumping in to keep things moving.

Meanwhile . . . the work continues.

Stay safe out there, everyone!

I’ve been pretty deep in the trenches lately - a lot of decisions, details, deadlines.

Driving home tonight, I caught this amazing sunset in my rearview mirror. The colors were stunning! (Red-orange IS my favorite color!) I pulled over as soon as I could to snap a pic before it morphed into the nighttime darkness.

I've always been so inspired by the beauty found in nature. And this was the reminder I needed: To pause. To breathe. To notice. To look up instead of just pushing through.

And it was also a reminder that the most beautiful palettes are often the ones nature creates for us.

Not a bad way to end the day -- and look forward to an exciting new week.
