✨ Phase 1 Complete: Mindfully Fit Reset Results ✨

Wrapping up Phase 1 of my Mindfully Fit Journey, and I couldn’t be happier with the results:
• 15.2 lbs down
• 2.25” lost across all areas
• Mental clarity and energy through the roof

This 21 day grain free reset has been detoxifying and eye opening. But let’s be real, I never intended to cut out grains permanently. In my 50s, I know what my body needs, and extreme elimination isn’t the goal. This journey is about balance and longevity, not restriction.

At 52, I’m setting myself up for decades of thriving. With 92% mobility loss in my left arm and an upcoming procedure on November 25th to alleviate pain in my neck and shoulders and correct the loss, this phase has also been about preparing my body for healing and growth.

One big takeaway? Strength doesn’t mean ignoring pain, physical , mental, or emotional. It catches up with you. Phase 1 reminded me to tune in, release, and apply everything I’ve learned about nutrition, fitness, and self care to build a foundation for the life I want to live.

What’s next in Phase 2?
Phase 2 is all about strengthening and thriving:
• Reintroducing unrefined whole grains (think whole grain breads, whole wheat pasta and rice, quinoa, farro).
• Drinking at least 2 liters of water daily.
• Practicing mindful eating, slowing down, savoring, and being present.
• Avoiding added sugars (use swaps like pure maple syrup, coconut sugar, or date sugar).
• Alternating Collagen Coffee and Mushroom Coffee for gut and joint support.
• Sticking to gut-healthy dairy: Romano, goat cheese, aged cheddar, Good Culture cottage cheese, and probiotic yogurt or smoothies with added Flora.

Feeling incredible on my Mindfully Fit journey! Starting each morning with an adapted matcha chia bowl from and an energy revving juice shot, and now adding an evening juice shot for extra benefits.

Chia Matcha Recipe:
Base:

• 1/2 TBS Chia Seed
• 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
• 1/4 TSP Matcha Powder
• 1/4 TSP FOS (Probiotic Powder)

Topping:

• 1/4 Cup Cashew Milk Yogurt
• 1 TSP Honey
• Fresh Blueberries, Freeze-Dried Raspberries, Coconut, Ground Almonds

Instructions: Blend base, refrigerate 2+ hours. Top with yogurt, honey, and extras. Enjoy!

Morning Juice Shot:

• Carrots
• Ginger
• Pineapple
• Green Apple

Blend and enjoy for a nutrient-packed, refreshing start to the day!

Evening Juice Shot (for glowing skin, fat-burning, and detox while you sleep):

• Pineapple
• Ginger
• Lemon

🌱 Green Detox Smoothie – Mindfully Fit 21-Day Reset Approved 🌱

Started my day with this Green Detox Smoothie to kick off the Mindfully Fit 21-Day Reset! Creamy, refreshing, and loaded with greens, fiber, and healthy fats to fuel my body with clean energy.

Recipe:

• 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
• 1 cup spinach
• 1/2 cucumber
• 1/4 avocado
• 1/2 green apple
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 tbsp almond butter
• Ice as desired

Blend until smooth, top with a berry or two, and enjoy! Cheers to a clean, nourishing start. 💚✨

After losing my mother to breast cancer in 2005 and my sister to a mental health collapse in 2017, I’ve come to deeply value the importance of true health and self-care. Out of pure frustration with a list of challenges; stress, anxiety, PTSD, menopause, weight gain, nerve damage, carotid aneurysms, long COVID fallout, and more I’m saying “NO” to quick fixes and band-aids. I’m done with the prescription meds thrown at me during a 15-minute visit that don’t even get close to addressing the big picture. I’m saying “YES” to something deeper, something that truly honors me.

I’ve always believed our bodies are incredible and built to heal themselves. I’m drawn to natural remedies because I know we can tap into nature to get back to our best. Our bodies are fully equipped to repair, regenerate, and thrive if we just create the right environment and give them the nutrients they crave.
So, I’m going all-in on this belief. I’ve created my Mindfully Fit Journey and am diving into my own 21-day holistic wellness reset Phase 1 of reclaiming my health and well-being. This reset is all about clearing out inflammation, resetting my metabolism, tackling cortisol issues, recharging my energy, and bringing my mental clarity back to life.

What’s in store for the next 21 days? Getting creative in the kitchen, going grain-free, hydrating big-time, and loading up on fruits, veggies, and high-protein meals. Most of you know I’m a huge foodie and married to a chef, so trust me, the recipes won’t be boring! 😉

True health isn’t about masking symptoms; it’s about understanding and addressing the gaps holding us back. It’s time to dig deeper, to really find what our bodies are missing, paying attention to how they change and adapting to the changes. Whether it’s supplementing essentials like 5-MTHF, supporting the gut-brain connection with probiotics, or fueling the brain and body with the right foods, every step toward natural healing is a step toward unlocking our full potential.

For me, this isn’t just a 21-day quick fix, and it’s not your typical 21-day challenge where you lose weight only to gain it back because it was unsustainable or missing key nutrients. This is a kickstart into a whole new lifestyle, one that’s about truly understanding what our bodies need and putting the power back in our own hands.

It’s the first step of commitment to body, mind, and spirit. And who knows, maybe there’s even a book in the works to tie all this together for others on the same journey.
