✨ Phase 1 Complete: Mindfully Fit Reset Results ✨
Wrapping up Phase 1 of my Mindfully Fit Journey, and I couldn’t be happier with the results:
• 15.2 lbs down
• 2.25” lost across all areas
• Mental clarity and energy through the roof
This 21 day grain free reset has been detoxifying and eye opening. But let’s be real, I never intended to cut out grains permanently. In my 50s, I know what my body needs, and extreme elimination isn’t the goal. This journey is about balance and longevity, not restriction.
At 52, I’m setting myself up for decades of thriving. With 92% mobility loss in my left arm and an upcoming procedure on November 25th to alleviate pain in my neck and shoulders and correct the loss, this phase has also been about preparing my body for healing and growth.
One big takeaway? Strength doesn’t mean ignoring pain, physical , mental, or emotional. It catches up with you. Phase 1 reminded me to tune in, release, and apply everything I’ve learned about nutrition, fitness, and self care to build a foundation for the life I want to live.
What’s next in Phase 2?
Phase 2 is all about strengthening and thriving:
• Reintroducing unrefined whole grains (think whole grain breads, whole wheat pasta and rice, quinoa, farro).
• Drinking at least 2 liters of water daily.
• Practicing mindful eating, slowing down, savoring, and being present.
• Avoiding added sugars (use swaps like pure maple syrup, coconut sugar, or date sugar).
• Alternating Collagen Coffee and Mushroom Coffee for gut and joint support.
• Sticking to gut-healthy dairy: Romano, goat cheese, aged cheddar, Good Culture cottage cheese, and probiotic yogurt or smoothies with added Flora.
