Just another quiet, relaxing week at Moonshine Cattle Company. Just kidding, it’s absolute chaos around here.Piper decided her true calling was being a cow dog and jumped the fence to go gossip with the herd. We managed to catch her and Tommy got a free ba****ck ride out of the deal, but she is going to a friend in Pleasant Hill next month to think about her life choices and get a proper tune-up. Meanwhile, the weather is completely refusing to cooperate. The cold nights and overcast days are making it a nightmare to dry hay, but we are stubborn and slowly making progress anyway. We also moved some of the highlands out of the woods and onto new pasture. Shelby is pulling double duty, working at ODOT by day and playing mechanic and cutter by night just to keep the equipment together. Hailey is fighting a never-ending war against tansy while tending to the gardens, and Tommy is splitting his time between playing in water and tearing up the yard on his dirtbike with some occasional swathwr work.
