I am always grateful when I am asked to create a brooch for a celebration of life. It is an honor to contribute something meaningful during such an important moment of remembrance.

This brooch carries special significance, as its colors represent Lambda Sigma Sigma Lupus Sorority, Inc., and honor the beautiful life of the deceased, who is now an Everlasting Lily. Each detail was created with care to reflect the legacy, sisterhood, and pride the organization represents.

Creating pieces like this reminds me that what I make is more than an accessory. It becomes a symbol of love, remembrance, and lasting connection.

I’m always being challenged in ways that stretch my talents, and this time I was asked to create an all-feather brooch, something I’d never made before. I trusted my creativity, and it turned out soooo beautiful. I honestly wish I had taken another picture of it.

This photo is me right after it was completed, feeling proud, grateful, and reminded that growth lives just outside of comfort.
