Diamond E Custom Bows My name is Jacob England, I make custom selfbow/longbows, as a Hobby.

I would love to help others get involved in the sport, I am not doing this to make money, Solely doing this to be more connected to history and the great outdoors and share with others.

Get a lot of curiosity from people about billets. They’re ugly at first glue up but this is the finished product of a good billet splice. All my bows have them hidden by leather and you’d never know it was there if I didn’t mention but it’s a very trusted and effective process to make good bows with 2 short pieces, it seems harder but in my opinion I find billet bows to be so much easier to make, you have more control of the wood and can manipulate it somewhat

If the time slows down enough I’ll be finishing this bow tomorrow. Gonna keep for myself as a show and tell piece to display and hunt with. Billet Bow, Reflex Deflex, I’ve come to be addicted recently to this style of bow, they’re extremely easy to string and has profile to die for.

This is a testament so Osage Orange and how well it bends, if tillered correctly it’s almost like elastic. This is my Bamboo backed Osage longbow, I wad checking the weight and wanted to show how resilient this wood is. It’s amazing.

Had to get creative on some indoor pictures because the wind is terrible but this thing turned out absolutely amazing. 64” pignut hickory, 47 # @ 28inches. JD style hand wrap with ebony tip overlays.
