February's verse memorization started yesterday!

We are excited for this month's stickers. Reminder, these stickers can be peeled off of smooth, non-porous surfaces and restuck into a binder or note book.

We put the stickers we are working on in two main places- our bathroom mirrors and water bottles so we are seeing them constantly and reviewing them. Now that space is filling up each week we will take the oldest sticker off our water bottle and replace it with the week we are working on.

Praying your week goes well and you are enjoying your time memorizing God's word.

There are many different systems for memorization. One of the systems we love is the Charlotte Mason Memory Box.

This takes about 5-10 minutes a day and it helps commit memory work into long term memory.

For us this is how it goes:

Each morning at breakfast the box comes out. We start with the current verse behind daily. We review that verse 7 times- (we follow a similar as my videos on daily memory work)

Then we move on and quiz ourself on previously learned verses.

Let's pretend the date is today: Wednesday the 17th. 17 is an odd number so we would review the number behind the odd Card, the card behind Wednesday and the card behind 17.

Once our daily verse is memorized we would move it behind the oldest odd/even card (tip, number your cards so you can keep track of which one is the oldest) move that card to the oldest day of the week card and move that card to the next avalible day of the month slot.

It's really that simple and it allows for you to follow our program and add in any additional verses that are on your heart to memorize.
