❤️ Update from Anthony (Owner's Son) ❤️
Hi everyone, this is Anthony.
I know many of you have been asking for updates on my mom, and I wanted to wait until we knew more before sharing anything publicly.
First and foremost, thank God my mom is okay.
Unfortunately, during her brain surgery, a serious complication occurred. The surgeon accidentally cut an artery, causing significant bleeding, and the procedure had to be stopped. She required blood transfusions and was placed on a breathing tube while the medical team worked to stabilize her.
To be completely honest, it was one of the scariest moments our family has ever experienced. There were conversations being had that no family ever wants to hear, including discussions about power of attorney. For a while, we truly didn't know what was going to happen.
By the grace of God, she pulled through.
She is still in the hospital recovering, dealing with pain, exhaustion, and the effects of everything her body has been through, but she is alive, she is stable, and she is continuing to fight.
Many of you know my mom as the smiling face behind Thrift & Co. What many don't see is how hard she has worked for years to care for others. She spent much of her life as a nurse helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and now she's facing one of the hardest battles of her own.
As her son, I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for the prayers, messages, kind words, and support you've shown our family. Every comment, every prayer, and every act of kindness has meant more than you know.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she begins what will likely be a long road to recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving and supporting not only my mom, but also her dream of Thrift & Co.
God is good, and we're holding onto our faith one day at a time. ❤️🙏
God bless,
Anthony & the Thrift & Co. Family ❤️
