Recently, you received an email about ALUMALOK prices increasing because of Trump tariffs. I hate raising prices just like I hate paying more for beef at the supermarket. However, our product is made from a global commodity - aluminum and steel. The prices of aluminum and steel have been artificially increased because of the 50% tariffs from the Trump administration. Period, end of discussion. My current order of 20,000 lbs of aluminum extrusion increased 47% from 2024. I am forced to raise prices. But I am only increasing prices 12.5%. We will absorb the rest. No new CNC this year, no raises for workers. That is what we are faced with thank you, Donald J. Trump.
This morning I received an email from one of our good customers complaining that we should make our stuff in America. John, we proudly do, we absolutely do. In fact, 99.5% of our product is sourced and made in the good old USA. Our extruded aluminum comes from a mill in Youngstown, Ohio. The machining of our product happens in Indianapolis, Indiana. The grade 8 hardened steel rods come from a plant in Dallas, Texas. The aluminum standoffs come from California. Cardboard boxes come from Wisconsin or Chicago, depending on which box it is. Labels are printed just down the road from us. The only item that is not from a US source is the set screw used in our products. And John, you’re right. It is made in Taiwan (China). I wish I could find the set screw made in the USA, but I haven’t yet.

When we finish, assemble, test, and package your new ALUMALOKs in Kentucky, rest assured that we are doing our best to manufacture a high quality product made in the USA.
Thank you for 28 years of continued business.
