Watching the sheer dedication an artist puts into their craft over the years is one of the best parts of doing what we do.

Our man Jordan Starke sent over some incredible moments tracking his journey from a young boy hitting pads to touring international stages and playing Warped Tour on his birthday last year.

At Homer Made, we are obsessed with custom sound. We hand press every single shell to eliminate dead spots and control the resonance, but we also love working with partners who help us push those limits on stage.

People always ask how we get such a unique, resonant tone out of our hand-pressed shells. It’s all about the raw materials... and testing the density directly on Homer’s head. Sandra’s out here trying to decide which species makes the best hair.

If you want to hear what our hand pressed drum shells actually sound like in the wild, turn your volume up for this.

Matt Poynter isolated the pure, unmixed board feed of the drums during The Hip Abduction's recent appearance at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. They cut the other stage tracks, the vocals, and the venue mix completely.

What you are hearing is the raw, organic acoustic tone of his hybrid Roble, Cherry, Spruce, and carbon fiber shells vibrating off those giant rocks in the amphitheater. No studio tricks, no EQ, no polished mix. Just real wood, composite strength, and true timber tone doing exactly what it was engineered to do.
