Someone told me you have to choose which hill you die on: Get ready to fill out your reports on me, cause I'm going to vent here. Frankly I expect some "unfriending" to happen and that is fine too.
I believe we all have the right to worship as we please, but I also know that our country, the United States of America, was founded on Christian principles. I believe we should be proud of our country. A quote is a quote. It should not be amended or watered down. The news media should not be afraid to use the "Love of Christ" part. Why they state, “Because, using the words Christ or God might offend someone!” Well, now it's my turn to be offended!
I'm offended that the news media would edit it out.
Offended that Christians are being asked to tread lightly, so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man, Jesus, loved God, loved his people, loved the world, and gave his life for the sins of all people. Those who believe in Him, and accept Him as their personal Savior, will have everlasting life !!!
This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
I hope every Christian or every person that believes in God who is OFFENDED will copy this and paste it to their status.....“If we ever forget that we're one nation under GOD, then we will be a nation gone under.” ~Ronald Reagan.

Your Christmas Card

Greetings in the name of Jesus,

This year, we decided rather than send Christmas cards, we would use modern technology to wish our friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

One of our motivations was that many do not know precisely why Jesus was born or died, so we decided to answer questions that many are embarrassed to ask.

You see, according to the New and Old Testaments, Jesus was God incarnate, who came to Earth in the form of a man to sacrifice his blood as the last blood sacrifice needed for the forgiveness of sins, as was taught in the Old Testament (the Old Covenant). Jesus’ shed blood (the New Covenant), as described in the New Testament paid for ALL of the sins of ALL mankind for ALL time. This means that all of your past, present, and future sins were forgiven on the Cross. Those who believe this, and accept it, receive the free gift of eternal life with God. The simplest explanation of this can be seen on the short YouTube video we have included.

Tim was saved from eternal damnation in 1980, having only a little Bible knowledge, so he constantly worried daily after receiving his salvation that he would lose it. Tim became so reclusive to avoid further sinning that he suffered clinical depression. Many uninformed people told him he must stop sinning, or he would lose his salvation. It became very confusing, but following painstaking Bible research, as guided by the Holy Spirit, Tim uncovered the truth. Nobody can stop sinning! “I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.” Galatians 2:21 (NLT)

Once you are saved, the Holy Spirit comes to live in you. “And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.” Ephesians 1:13-14 (NLT)

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is what saves you. The Holy Spirit does not come and go, like a revolving door, based on your behavior.

Concerning your eternal destiny, please do not listen to those who are not adequately trained, who refuse to depart from what their parents and grandparents told them they must believe, or who make decisions based on how they feel or think it should be.

Yes, one should try to be moral, but morality is NOT what saves a person. A person is saved by their faith in Jesus’ finished work, as described in this video.

PRAYER BEFORE BULLETS. I AM A CHRISTIAN – NOT A PACIFIST.

I am posting this in Christian love.

Jesus said to love and pray for one another. Jesus also said, “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34) Following Jesus may generate enemies, but it can also provide Christians with the opportunity to be a light for those living in darkness. So, I am going to pray for Muslims, and I invite you to join me.

PRAYER FOR CHRISTIANS. “God, Creator of all that exists, I pray that those Muslims who are following Mohammed rather than Jesus be shown the light by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior by repeating the salvation prayer. I also pray that those who lead our country take whatever actions you command.

PRAYER FOR MUSLIMS. I suggest this prayer: “God, Creator of all that exists, I want to know the truth. If you came to Earth in the form of a man named Jesus to save those who trust in your mercy from eternal damnation, then I reject my belief in Mohammed and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I accept your Holy Spirit into my body at this time and I thirst to know more about you.”

RACETRACK MINISTRY?

The reason Tim and I became involved in racetrack ministry 40 years ago was because there are many people who think God does not love them because they are involved in an industry supported by gambling. We once believed that, but we were wrong. Please attend our Wednesday evening Bible study in the Sunshine Meadows restaurant Wednesday evening at 6:30 and we will prove to you that God does love you no matter what. If you drink alcoholic beverages, cuss, live with your boyfriend/significant other, etc., God still loves you. We will prove it to you if you give us a chance. See you then. Bring a friend – any friend. This class is not about becoming religious.

BEING A "GOOD PERSON" WILL NOT SAVE YOUR SOUL.

If your pastor neglects discussing being born again weekly in his/her sermons, I suggest you have a little chat with him/her. Perhaps he/she has not been born again. If that is the problem, I suggest you pray for this unborn pastor until he/she sees the light. Or, you may want to find another church.

The New Testament informs us that when we trust/believe only in Jesus' finished work on the Cross that we are immediately indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Being "sealed" means the Holy Spirit lives in the believer permanently, and he does not come and go based on the believer's behavior. It is ONLY the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that makes one a Christian. If you have not been born again, you are a counterfeit Christian.

If your pastor is negligent in discussing being born again on a weekly basis, he/she may be the cause for a congregate member going to Hell. It is possible there is one person in the congregation who needs to hear the salvation message that week. Failure to give it is inexcusable.
