Here is a multi media piece I did for an exhibition of photography by John Gutmann for the Breman museum in Atlanta.

I just really drawn to this image Gutmann captured years ago, so I created an art piece using tin and paint, based on his photograph. The museum used my piece as a compliment to Gutmann’s photography.

My art piece is now in my personal collection.

If you stopped by my booth on Saturday at Finster Fest, you saw the large “Walk Thru The Bible” piece I had on display. I was recently talking to Minnie Adkins and she encouraged me to make some individual panels, based off the large piece. I just finished the panel of Adam and Eve in the garden. These panels are 12” by 12”.

I’m not going to sell them yet, as I want to complete the set and see them all together.

Can you imagine yourself riding down the highway on your motorcycle, giving that suttle nod of your head to those other folks on the road who aren’t fortunate enough to own a one of a kind motorcycle helmet like this?

Remember, don’t gloat, just feel sorry for them for having to wear some store bought off the shelf head protection.

I keep saying I am done and I’m not making anything else for Finster Fest, but then after sitting for 15 minutes, I find myself back in the workshop.

This 16” wire fish originally had an attached wire basket on the bottom for holding letters or whatever. I lopped that part off and transformed it into a Carlisle fish.

I like it and I will be curious who takes it home with them in two weeks.

The other day, as I was teaching Cathy Partridge how to do stained glass, I was also thinking on the vintage tray I had. So toward’s the end of the day, I had Cathy help me cut some glass to fit in the rows. It was good practice for her in glass cutting.

I finished the piece after they left and now have another treasure for the booth at Finster Fest.

If you like it, make sure to stop at hers and Abe’s booth and tell her she did a great job! At Finster, I will get Cathy to sign the back so it shows this was a collaboration. 🙂
