This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating a mother-daughter duo who are near and dear to the heart of Domes. Granny Dread is the OG independent woman and cannabis faithful who believed in the plant’s life-enhancing qualities long before it was mainstream. She raised four children with grit and grace, carved a career path in homeopathy, and never stopped showing up — helping raise her grandchildren. Lucky for us, she followed her daughter Shani to Kingston when Shani took the GM role at Domes. World travelers with a deep love for island culture, Granny Dread and Shani spent years living in Hawaii, and that Aloha Spirit is woven into everything they do. Shani is a phenomenal leader who brings deep cannabis expertise to our community — and if you’ve spent any time at Domes, you know that through Shani, Granny Dread’s humor, warmth, and work ethic are alive and well here.
