Yall look how precious and sweet. I am still remembering I have 3 pages to post to now not just 2. Whoopsies! 😂😂😂 Make sure if you have checked out our newest page go give my boy a follow Rad Brad’s Craft & Co. Let’s help him build his business and make a little hard earned cash too. I will say nothing makes my mama heart happier than to see my boy learning to become a successful human being. ✨ BIG NEWS & A NEW CHAPTER AT RUANN’S CLOSET! ✨

If you caught my post a little while back hinting that something special was coming... the cat is officially out of the bag! 🐱🎉

If you haven’t seen it on my personal page yet, my boy is starting his very own business! 🛠️💙

We are officially a family business trio now, and I couldn't be prouder of him.

I am praying he sticks with it, learns a lot, and builds something truly amazing as he grows up. My hope is that this benefits him through his high school years and maybe even beyond!

With his big move, I’m also making a shift of my own...

I’ve been loving the creation side of things so much lately that I am officially semi-retiring the boutique side to focus primarily on custom items and hand-crafted pieces! 🎨✂️

Don't worry—the boutique isn't gone forever! I’ll still host the occasional presale, preorder, or special find, but my heart is truly in creating.

When I started RuAnn’s Closet, I built it on childhood memories of my MawMaw, who always had whatever we needed. I strategically chose the word “Closet” instead of “Boutique” because MawMaw’s home was like a closet—you're constantly adding to it, taking away, and rearranging. 🧥✨

Keep an eye out for updated signs, fresh business cards, and a little makeover around here soon!

🤫 The rumors of our silence have been greatly exaggerated...

We’ve been a little quiet lately, but silence definitely hasn’t meant we walked away. Behind the scenes, we have been working around the clock for the last few months on something incredibly close to my heart.

This is a vision and a dream I’ve carried in my head for a long time, and watching it finally come to life has been absolutely surreal.

Sent the boys out the door to do their business, and mama headed straight to the shop to watch the magic happen! ✨

No rest for the weary around here...

We are officially back in the shop and back on the grind! 🛠️💼

We took a little time off from both of our businesses to recoup and recharge, but we are back stronger and greater than ever. Our God is mightier than any negativity and doubt we have faced. With Him by our side, we know we will continue to grow and succeed! 🙏🙌

🛑 Real Talk: Kids Today Will NEVER Experience This Era 🛑

Alright, I’ll go first. Kids today think they have it all figured out, but they will absolutely never understand what it was like growing up in a world before smartphones and instant gratification.

Let’s Talk About It…

🛒 The OG Walmart
I’m not talking about the Walmart with the McDonald's inside where Ronald McDonald was chilling on a bench outside. I’m not even talking about the one with the giant fish tanks and lobster tanks we could stare at for hours. No. I am talking about the REAL OG Walmart.
The one where our mamas and daddies dragged all 50-eleven thousand paper sales circulars into the store and spent 20 minutes aggressively searching for that one specific deal to ad-match at the register. Back then, the checkout lines weren’t long because of a lack of workers—they were long because our parents knew they could save 10 cents on a pack of noodles, and they were willing to stand their ground for it!

Ohhhh or how about….

☎️ The 100-Foot Telephone Cord
And if you weren't stuck in an ad-match line, you were at home dealing with the agony of a busy signal because someone’s older sister was gossiping. There was no privacy! If you wanted to talk to your crush, you had to stretch a neon-colored, 100-foot coiled phone cord into a nearby closet, crossing your fingers that their terrifying, booming-voiced father didn't answer the landline first.
It built character. It built bravery.
