JC'S Custom Lures JC’s Custom Lures was born when two of my favorite things, crafting things by hand and fishing, crossed paths.

After tying flies for over 55 years I thought I’d try something new and from the very first lure I painted I was hooked, no pun intended.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth at the Petersburg, WV Spring Mountain Festival this weekend. Despite Saturday’s rain and Sunday’s chilly temperature the show was a great success. Good to see some returning customers as well as getting to meet new ones. And remember, take a kid fishing.

Here’s the latest batch to come out of the curing box. One more batch to apply the finish to tonight then I think I’ll take a break, from painting that is. Lots of hooks to attach, labels to make and packaging to do. Sure glad I retired.
