Senior year starts this week.❤️ For a long time, life was about getting through the next day, the next problem, the next hard thing. This year, I don’t want to just get through it. I want to notice it. I want to be present for the ordinary days, the big moments, and all the lasts I don’t even know are lasts yet. Out of survival mode. For whatever comes next. ❤️

Saturday market days = a little bit of chaos, a lot of small business life, and apparently buying lunch at 10am because you KNOW your favorite vendor is going to sell out. 😂 Hot + muggy after the rain, but still a good morning at Severance Farmers Market. I came home with delicious cookies, chicken skewers + garlic rice, AND a sourdough loaf gifted by another vendor. ❤️ I really do love this little vendor community. Remember when the wind took out our booth at Kersey Days? 🌪️😅 Well… somebody eventually had to deal with the candy aftermath. 🍬 Some survived. Some definitely did not. And some might be getting a second life. 👀

Well… Kersey Days didn't exactly end the way we planned. 😂💨 After all of the fun in the morning, while getting ready for the concert, a strong microburst came through — and for the first time in more than 20 years of doing shows, we watched our canopy take off and get destroyed, even with 160 pounds of weights on it. But the biggest part of this story is the people. ❤️ Thank you to EVERYONE who immediately jumped in — chasing runaway deli containers, picking up our pieces, helping save my son's tent next to us, and getting us packed up in record time. Small-town people are pretty incredible. ❤️ Kersey Days 2026… we'll definitely remember this for years to come!

Came home from an amazing, fast-paced trip and immediately jumped into our first official week of homeschool while preparing for what has historically been our second-biggest show of the year. Monday me really believed the list was going to keep everything under control. 😂 Welcome to Kersey Days Week.
