as i work on this stage - sewing the raw inner edges- i do even this in a specific way. by pins.
to go back - to set these up I pinned the top and bottoms to each middle. each one required 16 pins. I have a LOT of pins, but i keep each type separate. in containers and on pin cushions.
so, to set up 40+ round zipper pouches with 16 pins each I had to use more than one type of pin in my collection.
sooooo as I sew these - i am doing so by pins each type. and am putting said pins away as i go.
is it OCD? i dunno. but it works best for me!

I have been playing with my Shimmer series of late. 7-9 layers of cut papers - with the top layer a glitter and under layers in bright colors and metallics. Its been fun to mix them up and see how they interact. Then adding the beads for drop earrings to pick out one color.

I am also choosing to add a finish to the back of all my earrings. so as the dangle and turn the back is just as fun as the front!

Sometimes I get distracted by an unexpected idea.
Here are (some of) the results of last night rabbit hole. I found a package of tiny wood trees i got a while ago with vague ideas of doing something for my holiday tree with them. When i found them last night they struck me as perfect for making earrings.
so - lots if dyed color ways, added some glitter to some, and finished with resin. Then raided my bead stash for some tree topper bits and found these clay stars. used them on a few and the dainty swarzofsky crystals on others…
I am delighted with the results! More to come - the other trees have a lot of cut outs and i have some thoughts on how to play with that.

New pretties!
Playing with dot paint and color pallets and some new shapes.
Drop earrings are a great shape for all kinds of designs. and yes, I did a whole series in black, white and grey.
some have the design on both sides, some do not.
Then a few 1” circles in the black and white pallet. I also played with adding glitter to them during the varnish phase of creation. Then added a few complimentary crystals to the setting.
Drop earrings all have hand shaped hooks. Shaped to the earrings and also the ear for comfort and style.

And because they are just fun, some keychains. 5 in the black and white pallet and one in a blues and greens pallet.
All the dot art surfaces are finished with resin for a shine and hardy surface for years of enjoyment.
