**POSTING FOR MY DAUGHTER**

Good afternoon,
I am reaching out on behalf of the nursing staff in UTMB Galveston-TDCJ Unit 7A.
Tuesday morning, our sweet colleague Sydney Cruz received the call while at work that her home in Angleton had burnt to the ground with her Husband, Ramon, and her 2 children, Logan and Wyatt (6 & 8 ), inside. Not only did she lose her family, but all of her belongings, home, and vehicle as well. In addition to replacing her belongings, Sydney is facing a $40,000 expense to bury her family. We ask that if you find it in your heart to do so, you help us encourage her through this nightmare. We are putting a Raffle together to raise funds for Sydney as she prepares to fly her husband and children home to Nicaragua to be laid to rest.

We are reaching out to our local businesses to gather donations for the raffle basket, such as:
-Common Raffle Item like Cups, Hats, T-shirts, Coolers, etc.
- Gift cards/coupons to your establishment or other common marketplaces (Ex: Walmart, Amazon, etc.)
-Vouchers for free services/items
- Coupons for discounted services/items
-Snacks/treats
- Any other items that you feel may be an appropriate addition to the raffle basket

If you are able to donate, we will take care of all the footwork to collect your donation. We will pick up items, create vouchers and coupons as needed, package/wrap your donation, etc. There will be absolutely no additional strain on you to deliver or create your contribution. I am also attaching a voucher that we created for a local Galvestonian who is donating baked goods as an example of what we would include in the basket for those who don’t have preexisting vouchers/coupons/gift cards. I am also attaching the GoFundMe link for more information about Sydney and her family.

Come on out and see us This Saturday at American Legion Canteen 554. Our vendors will have loads of stuff to look at and we will be collecting food for Lighthouse Ministries to help build up the food pantry for their Thanksgiving meals. We have plenty of room for Vendors and an open spot for any non profit that would like to participate! We will see you there!

We are encouraging everyone to go support our veterans at the celebration at Kemah Boardwalk today. American Legion Post 554 League City TX is an integral part of the celebration and we want to support them by attending and honoring them and all the veterans who take part today. Tomorrow at Bubble Jungle Beer Garden & Food Truck Parkwill be Bubble Market's Veterans Day market to honor those who served. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
