“Refined”
There are so many definitions for the process of refinement. It is improvement through small changes; to make “more subtle and accurate.” Spiritually, it is a transformative process of “purification, sanctification, and growth.”
Refinement requires devotion & a willingness to submit oneself to the Refiner— who has a gentle way of pressing us into shapes we didn’t plan for, and yet somehow fit us better than the ones we imagined for ourselves.
As new seasons envelope me and life takes turns that I hadn’t previously identified on the map of my expectations, I’m reminded to trust the Refiner and lean into the work I sense He is doing. It doesn’t always look the way I thought it would. But without fail, it is always a testimony to His sovereignty and unfailing provision.
Miele doesn’t look the way it did two years ago, but it still holds the same heart: a love for beauty, meaning, and a life tended with care.
