Our story begins, like many others, with a problem. As my mother, Karen, was both knitting and working in a local yarn shop, she realized that there was no good solution to store her circular needles. (For those of you who do not knit, circular needles are two needles which are connected via a cable so that when you knit, there are no seams in your final product.) After searching around multiple s
tores and the internet, she found that there simply was no secure way to store these needles - so they usually ended up in a zip-lock bag. The biggest issues was that no other product on the market contains completely sealable bags, with most systems being "secured" in a pouch that is tied shut. After trying to use this type of system, Karen found that the knots would often come un-done, and needles would fall out as a result. Through this search she found that there were many other women who experienced the same issues that she had, and there was no product that seemed to fill their needs. The closest anyone could come to what we have created was a "tackle-binder" from the local sporting good store, but those were often not eye-appealing and bulky. Through six months of design and "testing" with local knitters, we managed to create a final product that both looked appealing, and was perfectly sized. Since the launch of the product we have had people take our solution outside that crafting world as well, proving that the product is multi-dimensional. In the future we hope to continue this growth into other fields, and strive to provide a secure, but simple store solution for anyone on the go.
