🎉 TGIFriYAY! 🎉

This week has been a reminder that healing isn’t always a straight line.

A physical therapy session two days ago triggered a fibromyalgia flare that had me down for the count for a couple of days. While that wasn’t part of the plan, I’m listening to my body, giving it the grace it deserves, and reminding myself that rest is part of recovery—not a setback.

The good news? 🌞 Only FIVE more days until vacation! I can hardly wait to recharge, spend time with family and friends, and come home ready to keep moving forward.

To everyone who’s had a week that didn’t quite go as planned, remember this: every small step still counts—even if today’s biggest accomplishment is simply taking care of yourself. 💜

🌼 Motivational Monday 🌼

While many people spent the holiday weekend celebrating with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks, I spent most of mine … sleeping.

Not exactly how I planned to celebrate Independence Day.

Sometimes our bodies make the plans for us. As frustrating as it is, I’m learning that recovery—actually, my life in general—doesn’t always run on anyone’s schedule.

So today’s Motivational Monday isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about extending ourselves the same grace we’d so freely give someone else.

If you’re feeling rested and ready to conquer the week, I’m cheering you on (see my friend, Droopy, giving you a little 'Yay').

If you’re starting Monday a little slower, a little more tired, or carrying a little more than usual, that’s okay too. One small step is still a step forward.

💜 It’s FriYAY! 💜

Some weeks, progress looks like finishing a project.

Some weeks, progress looks like showing up for OT/PT, celebrating a little more range of motion, and reminding yourself that every stitch starts with a single thread.

I'm not quite back behind my beloved Juki yet, but every day I'm one step closer. Until then, I'm gathering ideas, dreaming up new designs, and getting excited for what's ahead at Marcie Made.

Sometimes the best creations need a little extra time ... and so do their makers. 😊

🐪 Hump Day Check-In 🐪

Recovery is happening … one small victory at a time.

Today, I did my PT exercises, used my right arm as much as it would allow, and even managed to sew a quilt label onto a quilted wall hanging that sold. 🧵✨

These may seem like little things, but after everything that’s happened over the past few months, they’re milestones worth celebrating.

Every stretch, every stitch, every bit of regained movement brings me one step closer to where I want to be—especially back to spending quality time with my beloved Juki. 😊

And as an added bonus? Only three more weeks until Indiana! 🌽🚜🍅🌻

There’s something special about heading back home, seeing familiar faces, and making new memories. The countdown is officially on!

Here’s your midweek reminder: progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Keep moving forward, even if it’s one small step at a time.

💜 Motivational Monday 💜

After months in an immobilizer, I'm finally free!

Last Wednesday marked the beginning of a new chapter in my recovery journey as I restart occupational and physical therapy and begin the work of regaining range of motion in my new shoulder.

Am I about three months behind where I hoped I'd be? Absolutely.

Am I discouraged? Not a chance!

If anything, this detour has made me even more determined to catch the recovery bus and hang on for dear life! Every stretch, every exercise, and every small victory brings me one step closer to where I want.

And where is that, you ask?

One step closer to my beloved Juki sewing machine, of course! 🧵✂️

The road hasn't been straight, yet I'm moving forward again—and that's worth celebrating.
Here's to fresh starts, renewed determination, and the joy of getting back to doing what you love. 💜

🎉 FriYAY Friday! 🎉

Today feels like a day worth celebrating! 💜
After weeks of being attached to my immobilizer, I’m officially free! 🙌 The shoulder journey isn’t over yet, but this week brought a big milestone: I’m back to OT/PT and taking steps forward instead of standing still.

Recovery hasn’t been a straight line, and there have definitely been days when progress felt frustratingly slow. But today, I’m choosing to focus on what is improving. Every therapy session, every little bit of movement, and every milestone brings me one step closer to getting back to the things I love—especially spending time in my craft room creating for Marcie Made.

So this FriYAY, I’m celebrating progress, patience, and hope. ✨
