Saturday night is almost here, and country music is about to say goodbye to one of the greatest to ever do it.
Alan Jackson will take the stage at Nissan Stadium in Nashville for "Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale" in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 50,000 fans. George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban, and more will all be there to send him off.
His museum and distillery opened yesterday on 3rd Avenue in downtown Nashville. He released "Still The One" for his wife Denise as a birthday gift. NBC will film the concert as "Alan Jackson: The Last Show" for primetime broadcast. Broadway will livestream it for free. And his great-niece Carlisle Wright makes her Opry debut the very next night.
He thought of everything. He left nothing undone. And after 40 years of giving country music some of the greatest songs ever written, Saturday night is the final chapter.
Are you ready? Because we are not.
