ORANGE COUNTY DECLARES EMERGENCY DUE TO HANGAR FIRE.

Johnny Schillereff, his wife, Kori, and their son woke to a smoke-filled neighborhood. The towering flames consuming the hangar were visible from their front door. Ash and debris — later found to contain asbestos — rained down. Some neighbors worried the fire would reach their homes, used garden hoses to soak their roofs. Others packed up their cars and left. Many assumed the fire’s impacts would be short-lived.

But the 17-story hangar smoldered for more than a week, and residents have struggled to get information about the fallout on air quality and airborne contaminants, including when debris will be removed from their properties.

I usually lay low on my birthday with the hope that no one brings attention to it, but today I feel different. I want to thank God for this life and express my appreciation to every person and circumstance that shaped it, making me into the man I’ve become.”
-
I see birthdays and New Year’s as clear tipping points in time to improve and mark fresh starts and new beginnings.
-
As I get older, my passion, gratitude, compassion, and forgiveness grow. As my time on this Earth lessens and my goals and vision sharpen, my excitement to live, learn, and grow is much greater than my fear of death. Each day that I’m better than the day before and closer to the end feels more like a victory.
-
Nothing brings me more peace and happiness than knowing I’m going to live out and soak up my years with my beautiful wife (), children ( ), future grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved ones (and dogs) - while manifesting my vision and making the greatest impact on my family and this world in the spec of time that I’m here.

The story behind the choice of red and black as the foundational colors for my art is simple.
-
As a child, I noticed that the cars that caught my eye while flying were always red.
-
When it comes to my art, I’ve always preferred to keep things very simple. So, when I embarked on my creative journey, I reflected on those childhood memories and gravitated towards red (along with black and white) for my color palette, later becoming my brand color. This conscious decision was inspired by the lasting impact that red cars and flying left on me as a kid.

It is that simple.

With only 34 days left in 2023, I am reminded of this unforgettable year of adventure with . I am honored to be the CEO of and consider this the most important and impactful position I’ve ever held.

My priority remains to represent our country and the skateboarding community in a positive light to future generations, reaching the goals of our team riders while protecting their rights and well-being.

I am forever grateful to my colleagues and incredible, brave, and bold team riders who made the mental and physical sacrifices. They helped lay the foundation of our ventures and were part of this year’s unforgettable journey, making many dreams a reality.

My gifted friends and one-of-kind talents, Rene Andrade and Augusta Potts teamed up and created an incredible dinnerware set at the studio in Phoenix, AZ.
-
The set includes ash from the grill and sand from the Sonoran Desert, creating a beautiful speckle glaze on each piece - embodying the spirit of Bacanora, and Phoenix, Arixona lives within this collection.
-
Pure and simple, timeless, and made from scratch with Puro Amor.
-
Grateful to have created with, and experienced the great talent of Agusta, Renne and Kamden.
