Laundry hamper. Clothes. Do they ever meet? In our house, more often than not, the clothing gets tossed at the laundry hamper rather than actually put into it. It's a kid thing. I remember doing the same thing. But it's truly a heart issue. Let's examine this for a minute. If I grab some dirty clothes and toss them in the direction of the hamper, watch them fall short or not even make sure they went in, am I honoring the Lord with my choices? [ 560 more words ]

I'm a cook. I absolutely love to cook and bake and grill. Cooking is therapeutic for me. I cook for those I love. It's my love language. Plain and simple. This love of cooking means walking into a Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table makes my heart sing. All the pretty copper, stainless, colorful dishes, fancy utensils, pans galore....oh my. Parting with things can sometimes be difficult. There is always a reason we hang onto something. Maybe it was a gift. Maybe it was expensive. Maybe we saved a long time for it and then realized it wasn't all we hoped it would be. Maybe we have the "someday" syndrome where we keep thinking "someday I will need this".
