During our December book club discussion of Winter by Norian Love, we were honored to hear from a guest speaker who shared the realities of living with sickle cell disease. Before she left, she asked us to help keep the conversation going and continue raising awareness.

I didn't forget that ask.

Today, on World Sickle Cell Day, we honor every warrior and recommit to using our voices to bring awareness to a disease that deserves far more attention. ❤️💙

Friday night with author Kache Author was a blast. led us through the conversation with some thought provoking questions and the audience was engaging. The author, reader fellowship at the end was just the icing on the cake with special appearance by zee reneé and author Erica Denise was chef's kiss.

Books and candles are best friends… and thankfully our candlemaker understood the assignment.

Huge shoutout to LaTarsha Herrera, Owner of Alabaster Jar Co., for always bringing the scents that make reading feel like an experience instead of just a hobby.

My personal favorite? The Gentleman. Whew. It smells like confidence, fresh out the shower, clean tee, good cologne, and minding his business.
