Part II of the wide-plank pine floor near River Falls.
When the air got really dry this past winter, the boards shrank, cracked, and gapped. Splinters started popping up everywhere.
Here’s how it turned out. 👇
They loved the character of the pine, but the gaps and sharp edges weren’t safe for their grandkids. So we:
1️⃣ Filled the cracks and gaps with bondo, a durable filler
2️⃣ Sanded everything smooth and level
3️⃣ Applied natural sealer to keep the warm, classic look of the wood
Now the floor is still full of charm, but it’s comfortable, safe, and ready for years of barefoot traffic and kids playing on the ground.
If your floors feel rough, sharp, or just tired, refinishing might be all you need. Send us a message to learn more.
