All over the world women are paid less than men: Gap Transfer is a project that compensates for the gender pay gap symbolically in the form of a discount offered by each shop. Every time the discount is applied, the damage will be recognized and the denunciation will be shared with this gesture that is small, but an activating prospect. An institution, shop or professional can take pa
rt in the project agreeing to make a temporary discount on its products to every female client, exhibiting the characteristic logo of the initiative and the time the initiative will last. www.gaptransfer.com will make available all the information to participants, and the circuit that applies the discount will be linked to the local percentages. The activation of each participant outlines an organizational body that does not have to meet any other criteria than those that have motivated the participant itself, sharing the information and practices in respect of the rules. HOW:
Check on the map where you can receive the GapTransfer discount, the information is indicative based on the reliability of each participant. You will find the GapTransfer logo on the door of the establishment indicating they have activated Gap Transfer; next to the till you will see the civic information notice confirming that GapTransfer is in effect, but it is best to check each time. If GapTransfer is in effect, they should provide a “receipt” stating that the discount has been provided ideally corresponding to the damage suffered by a working woman given the Gender Pay Gap which in Europe averages 16.4% for the same work performed by a man or a woman. Send an email to GapTransfer with your address and photographs of your establishment. The map on the website will be updated with references that may be modified later. The text will be updated with the data on local percentages before being printed and displayed. The project does not want to weigh on the activity of the enterprise, but it wants to become an integral part of by promoting membership and creating awareness on the subject.
