My oldest daughter Mia is home from college, and today was her first official day working inside the studio at

Watching her step into this space and immediately start creating was one of those full-circle moments that reminds me why I built this business in the first place. Her first project? The cutest bunny ears & paws backdrop for a little one’s birthday and she absolutely understood the assignment.

This brand has never just been about printing pretty things. It’s about building something meaningful, creating opportunities for my family, and showing my daughters what it looks like to build with intention, creativity, and confidence.

Seeing Mia behind the scenes today made me realize something: isn’t just growing… it’s becoming part of our family legacy.

One thing about me? I’m always thinking bigger for my clients.

What started with photo booth props has grown into so much more, and these new swag bags are just another reminder that I’m intentional about every part of the experience. I don’t want orders arriving in a plain box feeling transactional. I want my clients to open their packages and instantly feel the brand behind it.

At JYS, I’m constantly thinking about ways to help event professionals elevate what they offer too. Because props are only the beginning now. Some days stretch you in ways you didn’t plan for.

Yesterday, I flew back to Houston after being gone a couple of days visiting my 95-year-old grandma. It was a quick, hard, and necessary trip. And if I’m honest… it was even harder to leave her not knowing if I’ll ever get to see her again 💔

Coming back into one of the busiest seasons of the year, knowing how many clients are counting on JYS to help their events run flawlessly, that pull is real. It is something every business owner understands. It’s unrelenting.

I landed mid-afternoon, dropped my bags at home, hugged my kids, and told my husband I was heading to the shop.

His response?
“I’ll meet you there.”
No questions. No hesitation.

We printed, cut, tested, perfected, and shipped until 2am. At one point I was so exhausted I couldn’t even think straight anymore. Just running on commitment and responsibility to the people who trust us.

And when I finally made it upstairs… these red beauties were waiting for me. Along with a gift card to my favorite spa.

My husband. My rock. Always thinking of me. Always showing up in ways that matter.

When I decided to open JYS Sign & Print Co, I don’t think either of us fully realized it would mean nonstop late nights, early mornings, and weekends that blur together. But here we are.

And the truth is none of this happens without support like that.

To our clients: thank you for trusting me, even on the days when life is pulling me in multiple directions.
