As may of you know, we are in the middle of a massive remodel on our 42 year old timber frame home. I decided to act as general contractor and manage subs for heavy construction, painting, and concrete work. I took on trim carpenter, electrician, and cabinetmaker. Like many "this old house" projects, once you open it up, there are always surprises. In the last month we have done the tear out, replaced the subfloor, many of the floor joists, replaced doors,... The list is endless. 😆 The painters are about half done and the new floor starts to go in tomorrow. While the subfloor was out, I rewired most of the house.
Now it's time to switch hats to "cabinetmaker". I grew up around this stuff and have always wanted to design and build my own kitchen. Well, this is likely my last chance. So, I continue to lay awake at night arranging, re-arranging,... this kitchen. It has finally pretty much solidified and in about a week, I'll start making sawdust. Here is my current rendering. It's gonna be fun.
