Nancy Dalbey Wheeler gave Alicia and I an early Christmas present- tickets to a Ben Folds concert at Jones Hall (Houston) last night. Much to my surprise, he decided to interrupt the show midway, announce that I was in the house, and tell the whole story of how he discovered Helpinstill piano pickups. Later we met with him backstage, and he graciously recounted his opinion that I "made his career possible."

'Tis the season! My sister and I loved this recording when it came out in 1958 (we had it on a 45!) It's message seems more relevant today than ever. Many of the references to commercials are dated now, and unrecognizable to millennials, but it's still fun.

LONG-TIME HELPINSTILL USER WINS ACADEMY AWARD!
Volker Bertelmann, known to us at Helpinstill as "Hauschka," took home an Oscar last night for Best Original Score for his work on "All Quiet On the Western Front." He also was previously nominated (in 2017) for his score for "Lion." He has been buying and using the Helpinstill Piano Sensor systems since at least 2011, and his most recent Helpinstill purchase was just last month for a new Model 280 Phantom-Powered Grand Sensor, our top-of-the-line piece of equipment. Congrats Hauschka/Volker!
