I’ve been on my loc journey for 3 years now, and these last 8 months have tested me in ways I didn’t expect. Between business, finances, my health, and stress… I let myself go. I neglected not just my hair, but me.
For the past 2 months, I’ve been trying to find my way back—piece by piece. I even went to a loctician who suggested I cut my locs and start over… and I really considered it. I was actually planning to do it tomorrow.
But today, at TRILL LOC SHOW, everything shifted.
Out of nowhere, I was asked to model for the fastest retwist. Even then, those thoughts were still in my head, telling me my hair was too far gone. I told her my concerns, I told her I wasn’t sure… but she looked at me and reassured me, “It’s going to be fine.”
And she meant that.
She didn’t win the competition—but she won me. A new client, a renewed spirit, and a reminder that I’m not as far gone as I thought.
Thank you, Spoon. God truly chose you and your hands to heal a piece of me I didn’t even realize was broken. I’m forever grateful. 🙏🥲❤️
This was more than a retwist… this was restoration.
Don't worry AFTER PICS ARE COMING.
THANK YOU Spoon Burns
