For the second time, I attended a LYH Women in Business event because my “boss” and friend Samantha Dawn Simmons invited me to join her. I must say these ladies know how to throw a shindig! The speakers are always inspiring and I always make a new friend or two.

I’m tucking all the wonderful nuggets of knowledge away for when my time comes to focus more on SVP. It’s taken a back seat to launching kids into the world, working on my paying job, fixing up the house, and finally learning to set healthy boundaries and reasonable expectations.

P.S. Happy Waffle and Sparkle Pop are now my favorite treats.

We are pleased to announce the repeat of our successful Mother's Day event, taking place this Friday and Saturday. During the sale, all tops, Capris, shorts, jeans, and pants will be priced at $5.00, while everyday dresses will be $7.00. Our inventory includes a wide range of sizes, from medium/12 to 3x, with some 4x's available. Lulu's Closet will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM on Friday and 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday. Yeah, someone *my kid* reminding me that I wanted to make a wrap dress with this fabric AND she talked me down off the DO ALL THE THINGS ledge.

Sooooo, let’s take the general idea of the infamous Walkaway Dress…..Give it grown out sleeves, and pin tucked front panel, full length, but with an underdress. Some Versailles ruffle.

Oh, and a lace shrug because I don’t want to make sleeves but I also don’t want to show my arms.

Fun fact: IKEA duvet covers come with coordinating buttons!!!
