Wanted to ice fish this weekend, but with the unseasonably warm weather we are having this year thrice is to thin now. So we settled for a small opening along the edge of the ice and we didn’t do too bad.

This is how I rig and fish a meal worm on a tungsten ice jig.

I tip the jig with a meal worm, drop it straight to the bottom, reel up one or two cranks, and then start jigging. It’s a simple, natural presentation that’s extremely effective for ice fishing when fish are tight to bottom.
