Welcome the latest showcase vehicle to .utah. ’s Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO.
Audi and their quattro monsters are often recognized for their historic success in rally racing, but in 1989, this all wheel drive sedan shook the IMSA GT Championship series by winning 7 of the 13 races it started. Featuring the iconic Audi 5-cylinder turbo engine, quattro AWD, and a wide body that would make most wide, modern cars look narrow - this Audi has all the bark and the bite to match.
This particular car was built in 2021 by in Poland. It was constructed to current FIA safety standards while preserving the original form and layout of the race car campaigned by Audi in the 1989 IMSA season, including carbon Kevlar body panels, accurate mechanical component placement and the 2.2L 20 valve 5 cylinder turbo motor (capable of over 700hp) driving all four wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission (providing one more gear than was allowed by IMSA in 1989). This car is no stranger to the circuit, having competed from 2021-2025 under previous ownership in historic sports car races at iconic European tracks including Hockenheimring and Nürburgring.
