Desert season is the best! The 60-degree highs are perfect for exploring without breaking a sweat, and the lows are just cool enough to make you appreciate the sunshine. I love the simplicity of packing this time of year - More room for snacks and a telescope for stargazing is the best!

Mule Rack Experiment - at the end of the my most recent trip I experimented with carrying options on the Mule rack. I’ve always wanted a rack that has lots of lash points for versatile load carrying. Being able to strap down a dry bag wherever you want without fear of it going into the wheel is so helpful. It gives me lots of options during a trip to move gear around and add extras - like additional liters of water when necessary. The key to great bikepacking gear is reliability and versatility.
