Friends, I am speechless.

What words are there in our language to express how grateful I am for the outpouring of support for our grand opening? The only words that are coming to mind are Thank You.

Thank you for lining the sidewalk so early in the morning. Thank you for steadily pouring into the store and gushing about how cute it is and how excited you've been. Thank you for sharing your excitement with your friends and family. Thank you for recognizing the time and love that has gone into creating this space and giving that love right back. We are overjoyed to have opened this bookstore for this community.

A special thank you to our staff, Amanda and Ember, for their help with preparing for grand opening and making sure the day went so smoothly. I literally could not have done it without them and am so thankful to have such incredible book sellers!

Thank You, Grand Forks. You are simply the best.

'Twas the night before grand opening and all through the bookstore,
our staff are busy preparing to unlock the door.

Novels were nestled snug on the shelves,
While booksellers talk in anticipation amongst themselves.
Bookmarks were tucked into pages with care,
In hope eager readers would soon be there.

Abigail's will open at 10 am tomorrow.
